The Belfast Soup Kitchen has served Waldo County since 2005. In 2026 they expanded into a new building with the Kindness Community Market, a supermarket-style food pantry where patrons choose items based on their needs. The pantry serves over 8,000 residents annually, roughly 20% of Waldo County's population.
