About this resource
Her Safety Net was founded in 2021 to provide culturally responsive advocacy and support services to immigrant, refugee, asylum-seeking, and BIPOC women and girls in Maine who face gender-based violence. As a member organization of the Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence (MCEDV), Her Safety Net fills a critical gap in services for communities that face unique barriers to accessing traditional DV resources, including language, cultural understanding, and immigration status concerns.
