About this resource
The Iris Network, founded in 1905 as the Maine Institution for the Blind, is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to helping people with vision impairment or blindness attain independence and community integration. Based in Portland, The Iris Network offers a comprehensive range of services including a low vision clinic, vision rehabilitation therapy, orientation and mobility training, access technology instruction, employment services, and supportive housing through their Iris Park Apartments facility.
