About this resource
Kennebec Behavioral Health has provided mental health and substance use disorder services in central Maine since 1960. Designated as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), KBH operates seven clinics and provides 24/7 crisis response including a walk-in center, mobile triage teams, and short-term residential stabilization.

For short-term residential stabilization, crisis units in Augusta and Waterville offer stays of 1-7 days as an alternative to hospitalization.
